Being a chick, this site just really appeals to my younger, girly side. Like in high school when I used to decorate my school books with magazine cuttings and Contact cover, this has the same sort of feel.

Butter London is a contender in the Hottest 100 Web Design through its pure girly web design and lingering memories. I’m sure it will appeal to women of all ages…

This is the 36th month in a row Digital Finery is in the Top Ten for Web Design.

We haven’t posted a contender in the Hottest 100 Web Design for ages, and that’s not because of lack of hot sites, it’s more because we’ve been a bit busy.

We came across this site today called Captain Dash and it is really inspiring. This site tells a story all the way through with imagery and simple scenarios, but more importantly they make it look like fun! When was the last time you felt fun from a website (not including The Wiggles)???

The award looks at design, functionality and overall quality of the site. Digital Finery has been in the Top 10 for Ecommerce Design for the past two years, so it’s great to be sitting at the top of the table!

So what have you missed over the last six months?

Over Christmas we launched Spirit Gallery, a real life bricks and mortar store, now selling their didgeridoos and aboriginal art worldwide.

The site is built in OpenCart, our new open source ecommerce favourite.

We redeveloped the Sense2 website. Having built their original website several years ago, it was a pleasure to completely overhaul the site. It now has lots of animated features that are built entirely without the use of Flash, which makes it more accessible across iPads and iPhones. Super sexy filters for pricing & quantity and sweet animations on scrolling down the side menu.

We redeveloped Butcherman, Sydney’s favourite online butcher shop and one of our first clients from 2006. This ecommerce store has had a little makeover, actually quite a big makeover.

We redesigned and redeveloped Cactus Imaging. It’s now built in Drupal. The background changes when you refresh the page and it showcases beautiful imagery that is super COLOURFUL (if you look at the website you’ll understand why we felt the need to write that in caps…)

We helped pull it together with a sexy logo, web design and custom web development using our own open CMS, TagFactory. The site includes ecommerce for course bookings.
