Who would have thought we’d be adding one of Google’s sites to the Hottest 100 Web Design Lists?

Google have created a lovely magazine layout of their quarterly publication aimed at their partners and advertisers. It is aimed at the UK audience, not sure if there is one for the US. It certainly looks English. The layout and style has a relaxed feel to it, large custom fonts, excellent use of white space and colourful illustrations. Outstanding web design by the big G!

Another contender for the hottest 100 web design: Grow Collective

This site provides an interesting column layout which is carried throughout their site. I’m not sure it works so well throughout the rest of the site, but it makes me want to read everything on the home page.

Fashion web design gets practical

Todays hottest 100 website is home to the French first lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. Ok, so she’s an ex-model so it had to be pretty and she’s French so it had to be stylish, but as an ambassador for her country it also had to be practical and it is. A fashion first – no Flash!

I have a large collection of site’s I admire, either because they have a great look or really intuitive navigation or great use of colour. Either way, it’s a shame to keep them to myself and the sites deserve a round of applause. So begins the Hottest 100 Web Design List.

Love the colour and navigation. The site feels easy to use and has been cleverly laid out.
